Mission
· Osage House is a 12 bedroom, 24 hour residential facility which is designed to provide housing and training in independent living skills for individuals with mental retardation, residing in the cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Hopewell and the counties of Dinwiddie and Prince George.

House operates according to the “normalization principle” meaning that all
persons living in the home should have the same opportunity to engage in and
make use of community activities and resources as would non-disabled persons.

House provides a program of care which is designated to meet the resident’s
physical needs, provide protection, guidance and supervision, to promote a sense
of security and self-worth and to meet individual training needs
