PARC Services Sheltered Employment Program

PARC Services is a community-based facility that provides training and employment opportunities through a variety of rehabilitation options. These options include bench work, mobile work crew and enclaves. Consumers receive training and monetary compensation for work performed in the program. PARC Services has a Special Age Hour Certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor to cover consumers working in the program. Program operation hours are from Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with evening, weekend, early morning contract hours available for mobile work crews and enclaves.

In our workshop, consumers perform a variety of bench work ranging from sorting, product assembly, labeling and stuffing envelopes, record destruction and other repetitive tasks for various businesses and organizations within our community.

PARC Services Custom Imprinting Shop provides training to consumers in printing and imprinting, packing and sorting and offers affordable quality printing services to both individual customers and to various churches, businesses, and civic organizations within our community. The Imprinting Shop is open to the public Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

PARC Services Mobile Work Crews and Enclaves provide opportunities for consumers to work in integrated work environments in factory settings and various business settings in the community. The crews are performing janitorial services, ground maintenance, packing, and assembly work at a variety of churches, human service organizations, and businesses in the community.

PARC Services Sheltered Employment Program is designed to increase the consumer's knowledge in the performance of work, improve work related behaviors and productivity, and increase independence in performance of work in the community. The Program is located on the first floor of the Johnson Building in Suite B at 114 North Union Street in the city of Petersburg, Virginia.
